Gregg H. Mosson Featured on 102.9 FM (Washington D.C.) Commenting on the U.S. Supreme Court
Gregg H. Mosson, Esq., of Mosson Law LLC, recently was featured by Public affairs show, Political Misfits, on Washington D.C. FM Station 102.9 FM. He appeared to discuss recent ideas percolating on Capitol Hill for changing the form and format of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Mosson appeared on March 19, 2021, and commented that new ideas should be welcome if it improves how the Court functions and how precedent, and any changes to precedent, are handled. However, such changes should be problem driven and solution oriented, noted Mosson.
U.S. President Biden has proposed a Commission to study the U.S. Supreme Court, how it functions, and how it might function better, reported major media in March 2021. Some Democratic members of Congress also have clamored to increase the Judges, with an eye to "liberal" ones, because the last Republican President has appointed three purportedly "conservative" ones. Mr. Mosson noted that this idea of simply increasing the number judges should be studied too, to see if it actually solves a problem.
If Congress holds hearings on the subject, that is one way that ideas can be aired and the public involved, noted the dialogue.
